Winter/Spring 2017 (Madrid, Toledo and Barcelona) - This was a 2 part trip. First as a sister and girls trip to Madrid, Toledo and Barcelona. Then months later returned back to Madrid and had a romantic trip as husband and wife. Dee and Noble Dre* Ali love Spain! It’s a place that is great for all travelers and occasions. There is so much to see here and each city is completely different. The country’s food, wine, culture, language and people here are not to be missed.
More red wine please! There’s always an excuse to visit Spain… whether it’s for the wine, lazy-day siestas or soaking up those beautiful sights – the whole country is a open book of experiences that are definitely too beautiful to resist.
While in Spain, we were there during their bullfighting season. Madrid is known for amazing bullfights. Although controversial to some, we experienced a sacredness and grace for the sport.
Madrid has a very family close knit feel and vibe. A siesta is a pretty big deal in Spain… and rightly so! Around 1-4pm, many shops, offices and restaurants will shut their doors for a little afternoon kip. Take advantage of this time to chill-out!

Believed to have special powers and been carved in Jerusalem at the beginning of the religion. This is one of the most famous Black Madonna statues in the world and in 1844 Pope Leo XIII declared the Virgin of Montserrat the patroness of Catalonia.
The church here will move you like no other. Religious art is impeccable.

Try not to think the cities are all there is to see. A nice day trip from Madrid to Toledo is an experience not to be missed if you have the time. It’s a great day trip to another world.

Very remote where you go up a mountain and see the entire city come alive. Very unique and fun to see! It definitely leaves a medievel feel.
Foodies will love it here! San Miguel Market is the contemporary essence of Spanish cuisine. You can go around the market and get different tapas and wine.
Barcelona's famous promenade, which makes this city so unique. One thing to note is that dinner will usually start around 10pm for locals, making food markets like this very popular for tapas.
Women will smash!
His most famous work is the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. It is a candy land for a church. One of the most beautiful pieces of architecture you will ever see.
Beautiful to see the wonderful structures and buildings all around the city.
Spain has amazing street art for the world to see.
